When I arrive at Primary Care LIVE what do I do?

When you arrive at either London ExCel or Manchester Central head to the registration desks. Here you'll pick up your Event Guide with the venue map so you know where to go for your first conference session of the day and the Exhibition Village.

For Health and Safety reasons, we need to know how many people have turned up on each day, so it's important you register in the morning, even if you already have your badge and know where you are going.

Are there banking facilities on-site?

London:
ExCeL London has 4 cash machines available within the venue. HSBC and Barclays are located in the boulevard on Level 0 adjacent to the main cloakroom. 2 x Green Machines are located near the west entrance on the boulevard, Level 1.

Manchester:
Manchester Central has an ATM machine located in the front foyer. A Barclays and RBS cash point can be found on Deansgate - opposite the local Sainsbury and Tesco. It is approximately a 5 minute walk.

What about a Business Centre?

London:
The ExCel London Business Services unit is located at the West End of the Boulevard. Services include Photocopying, courier & freight solutions, essential office supplies and a Bureau de Change.

Manchester:
In Manchester Central the event Organisers Office will be equipped with a fax machine, telephone line and Internet Connection.

Is there WiFi access at Primary Care LIVE?

London:
There are 3 options available to delegates to Primary Care LIVE London to access a wifi network.

  • Delegates can access their own wireless network using their own laptop (provided the wireless network has coverage within ExCeL London).
  • Delegates may want to order wireless services from ExCeL London by phoning +44 (0)20 7069 5444.
  • Or delegates may use the BT Openzone wireless broadband service which can be accessed within the main boulevard and public areas within ExCeL London. Electronic vouchers and subscriptions can be purchased at btopenzone.com or can be bought from the Business Services centre on level 0.

Manchester:
Manchester Central is fully WiFi enabled.

Roaming Users (Visitors)
This type of connection is only recommended for people visiting an event who want to check their emails while they are away from the office and to undertake basic web browsing. These connections can only be purchased on-site through the Manchester Central WiFi Portal using a credit/debit card. The following table outlines the time plans that can be purchased:

Will there be a cloakroom?

There will be cloakroom facilities at both London's ExCel and Manchester Central. The cloakroom will not accept any electrical appliances (such as mobile phones, laptops, computers, etc) nor will it receive the delegate event bags, or copious amounts of luggage.

There will be a £1 charge per item left within the cloakroom at ExCel and no charge at Manchester Central.

Do the venues cater to Disabled Visitors?

London:
ExCeL London has been purposefully designed to allow unrestricted access for disabled visitors. Disabled toilets are provided throughout the venue. Telephones are located at levels suitable for wheel chair users. Disabled parking bays are available at all car parks. There are 150 disabled parking spaces available to blue badge holders only and badges must be displayed at all times. Parking for disabled visitors is charged at the normal rate. Wheelchairs are available for hire from the Information Desks, on a first come first served basis, with a fully refundable deposit.

Manchester:
Manchester Central adheres to all requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. As such it has 18 dedicated disabled parking bays on-site. Payment machines are located near all pedestrian exits which take cash and credit cards. There is a lift connecting the car park and the main concourse. Accessible toilets can be found on all levels of Manchester Central.

Where will I be able to pick up an Event Guide?

The event guide can be collected when you arrive from the registration area at both venues.

What happens in a fire or emergency?

In the event of a fire, please raise the alarm immediately and vacate the venue. If you hear an alarm please be alert to the loudspeaker announcements and follow the direction of the event staff. Do not use the lifts in the event of an emergency evacuation. Please note there is a strict no smoking policy within both venues.

Where do I access first aid?

London:
In ExCel a fully equipped Medical Treatment Room is available on Level 0 of the Boulevard and is managed by a Nurse from 8am - 8pm daily.

Manchester:
At Manchester Central an equipped First Aid Room in the Central Hall will be staffed during the event and build-up and break-down hours.

All incidents resulting in injury or illness must be reported to an event staff member and logged with the on-site risk assessor.

Where do I get something to eat or drink?

There will be cash bars at both ExCel and Manchester Central serving tea, coffee, cold drinks, and food items such as sandwiches, pies, jacket potatoes, noodle dishes etc.

These cash bars will be positioned within the Exhibition Hall at both venues.

Where can I smoke?

Primary Care LIVE is a non-smoking event. Should you need to smoke you will need to do so outside the buildings at ExCel in London and Manchester Central in Manchester.
